Granny is in her 50s and likes to think she's rebellious. Which led to the "workout" pole in their bedroom. I completely understand, their house their choices. However the only TV in the house is in their bedroom and they let my DD (so far only grandchild) watch the occasional cartoon up there. At what age is this no longer ok. Or I guess, is there an age where DD should not be allowed in the bedroom anymore? |
Is Grandma using the pole when kid is there? If not, I don't see why this is an issue. |
What do you think is going to happen? I can't think of any better strategy to keep my kid from pursuing a career as a stripper. |
Do you think it'll rub off on her and affect her life choices? |
You're over thinking it. Get a grip |
+1 This. It's a pole, not a sex swing. |
Ok, I guess I needed some perspective. As far as I know, it just sits there and they would never be inappropriate with DD, so I guess non issue. Thanks dcum! |
I don't think it is an issue unless DD can't be trusted not to swing around on it (for safety's sake.) |
Your mom is in her 50s and is a grandma, and you are surprised she has a stripper pole in her bedroom? |
huh? |
Out of curiousity... why would a sex swing be a problem? It's not like she's going at it with Grandpa when the kid is in the room. |

PP is bitchily trying to suggest that a 50 year old woman with a grandchild was a slut when she was younger. It's perfectly normal for Grandma to have had OP in her mid to late 20s (25-28) and for OP to have had a child in her late 20s to early 30s (28-32). If Grandma was 25 and OP was 32, then Grandma would be in her 50s. |
I have to say that my 6-8yo self would not have had any clue whatsoever what that pole was used for. Of course, I was kind of an oblivious kid, but still. |
Yes, I would have thought it was for firefighters. |
