| If you're currently renovating a kitchen (or planning to), what choices are you making to ensure that your kitchen won't look dated in 5-10 years? Slate, white, black, appliances? Or are you covering dishwasher and fridge doors with panels that match your natural wood or painted cabinet doors? |

High end stainless, panel doors for refrigerator, DW, etc. Debating how to handle the hood.
I don't think there are any serious threats to stainless at the moment. We are doing white cabinets with white honed marble tops. |
| White, not a fan of stainless steel. I love the slate but I'd worry if you need to replace one it would be near impossible to match. The negative to white is that our dishwasher has yellowed, but its about 8 years old. Stove and fridge are fine. |

What comes around goes around. These are classic and timeless.

Hahaha! Those are my favorite colors but classic and timeless they are not. |
Agreed. |
| I think stainless steel is already starting to look dated. It makes sense in some spaces but just looks unoriginal in most homes. In anything other than an industrial-inspired kitchen, I prefer something that matches or coordinates with the cabinets. |
| Just did a kitchen last year. Induction stovetop is black glass. Built in oven is SS with black, but it's built in so doesn't scream stainless. Fridge is counter depth stainless - but true stainless, not the plastic metal finish the cheaper appliances use. We did our Dw in gloss white, which matches our gloss modern cabs. It looks great - more contemporary than matching panels, but avoids the matchy matchy stainless sets of the two thousand oughts.... Lots of complements on the DW to the extent people notice. |
