Mid-cycle bleeding?

Has anyone experienced mid-cycle bleeding for a day or two? This is my first month off the pill and I am currently on CD20. Since midmorning I had some brownish spotting and it just turned bright red. It's pretty light overall though. I guess maybe this could be the start of my period since my cycle is probably irregular due to stopping the pill, but I usually have bad cramps and so far feel nothing.

I do have a daughter who is 3 and am wondering if this may be implantation bleeding - since I had that with her. I would just be really surprised if I was PG since we only DTD one time this month on CD11 since DH has been traveling for work. I was just trying to get the pill out of my system and we weren't planning to try for another few months.

So could it be normal to be spotting like this or not really?

I'm really interested to see responses. I just had the tiniest bit of spotting on CD 19. We timed things pretty well this cycle. But I didn't have any implantation bleeding with my first two kids.

I've sometimes had midcycle spotting due to ovulation - it's been red, but very, very light. I don't have the spotting every month - but when I do, it's always right around the time when I thought that I was ovulating (CD13-15 for me). CD20 would definitely not be ovulation spotting for me, but I don't have any idea of how long your cycles normally are....

I had mid-cycle spotting that one Dr chalked up to a leutal phase defect and another attributed to stress. But if you just came off the pill that's likely the cause.

I had mid-cycle bleeding just like you describe the first month I came off the pill.

I have ovulation bleeding every month. It was upsetting when I was TTC because I thought something was wrong with me. But I got pregnant twice and have two lovely kids.

After having kids the mid cycle bleeding got much worse, so that I bleed almost all month. Looking forward to my hysterectomy. No other options have helped.

I have brown spotting every month during my luteal phase. I'm always hopeful that it's implantation bleeding, but so far it's just been spotting. :/
