| Anyone have any ideas? I try to remember to pack a healthy snack every day but when I forget I end up going to the vending machine. |

I like protein. But they aren't very drawer friendly, unless you bring a cooler.
String cheese handful of mixed nuts hard boiled egg peanut butter in celery sticks. And I usually have grapes or berries with me, which satisfy my sweet tooth. |
| I keep Kashi granola bars and nuts in my desk drawer. |
| Unsalted cashews or almonds or walnuts along with unsweetened dried cherries. Yummy together! |

Whole almonds
Oatmeal packets Pretzels Popcorn (not the junky fake-butter kind) Sometimes little candies... I know this is unhealthy, but usually if I want something sweet, I will go buy a huge cookie or donut or cupcake. So comparatively, the little candy is better. Also, sometimes when I'm semi-hungry for a snack, I will drink water then chew gum. The oral stimulation seems to help curb the snackiness. |
| I keep whole wheat crackers (and try to remember to bring in cheese for the fridge), peanuts or cashews (you can parse out into individual containers if you don't trust yourself to eat some a handful), and pretzels. There are also energy, nutrition bars. I used to love those, but recently can't get into them (I'm thinking Power Bar, but I know there are much better brands out there now I just can't think of them). |

I am a big fan of raw unsalted almonds. A mix of healthy fat and protein that fills you up with vital nutrients.
And for my sweet tooth, I love cookie dough Balance Bars. 200 calories per bar, quite a bit of protein and vitamins. Also, no artificial sweeteners, which I think make you hungrier in the long run. |

Agreed on the unsalted almonds. They aren't all that tastey, so I'll only eat them if I'm actually hungry, rather than bored. For a sweet fix, I recommend sugar-free hard candies. I like the Werther's butterscotch and the jolly ranchers. I was actually surprised when I tried them at how good they are.
I also keep Fiber One bran buds at my desk. They're not great, but better than I would expect. |
