NIHA DC - Debbie McCabe

Anonymous
My daughter has issues with short term memory, following directions, and having on topic conversations. I was going to have her attend a group play group this summer but am wondering if I should try the dietary supplement route. She has not been making much progress with her speech therapist. Any thoughts on Debbie McCabe and dietary supp (omega 3) to help with these problems. She has not been diagnosed with austism or ADHD. She is only 4.

I would save your money to see a developmental pediatrician.

If you want to supplement with OTC things like fish oil, or other omega 3 sources, you don't need Debbie McCabe.

You may also want to read health info from a trusted source:

Debbie McCabe is incredible and has been a LIFE Saver for us. (and she's not cheaper than a dev ped by the way). We went to a dev ped who said "see if problems continue and if they do put her on a stimulant."

We went to debbie and she did thorough thorough thorough lab work, found a bunch of stuff and treated it. SHE IS AMAZING. I can't say enough.

By the way, I hate when people bash doctors they know nothing about. Debbie McCabe knows her science inside out. This is not voodoo. It science.

Debbie McCabe is not a doctor. She is a "holistic practitioner." That said, I have heard several people sing her praises.

You may need a new speech therapist.

Kids with these other issues spend years in speech b/c the way the brain is wired. I don't think OP really has a grasp on what progress would look like. If she's concerned she should review the goals with the ST.
