All star threads

I was wondering if we could make a new section where the all star/infamous dcum threads eventually get moved? I'm talking about chipotle lady, burgundy wash cloth, watering balcony/magnet lady, bobcat, fried tuna sandwich etc. I love all those threads and it would be fun to have a special place where they're stored? The all star threads get brought up a lot in conversation in other threads and it would be fun to have them all in one area. What do you think, Jeff?

We probably won't start a forum just for those threads because such a forum really wouldn't call for much discussion and we are a discussion forum. That is more of an archive which is something different that we might consider.

I have thought about creating a "Thunderdome Forum" for the hot topics such as circumcision, breastfeeding, SAHM/WOHM, etc. that always end up in huge fights.

I like the archive idea! I'm familiar with some of the famous threads, but if anyone intrepid with the search function wants to provide a link to burgundy washcloth and chipotle lady, I'd appreciate it

Oh and don't forget the Ruth's Chris toddler and servings of asparagus thread...

what about a flag/asterisk/star that designates the thread has reached all star status? then a user could just hit a filter button or something to pull up all start threads. obviously, jeff is arbiter of which threads reach said status.

Why not make it a sticky thread in here (website feedback)? Then as new classics are created, we can ask Jeff to add the links in the thread?

How about an archived time capsule thread for each year, like "Memorable DCUM Moments of 2016" and then a decade roundup?

Please don't do this. It's a terrible idea that does nothing but encourage trolls, most of whom are not worth remembering.

Plus everyone has their own opinion about what's funny. A lot of the infamous threads are boring IMO.
