Mold in shower

Anonymous
We have one spot in our shower that is susceptible to mold. It's the tile just below the glass wall. Is there a product that I can spray daily or weekly that will keep the mold down but won't harm the tile? Thanks.

Scrub the mold completely off with soft scrub or bleach.

And make sure you're leaving your shower door open so that the tiles and grout can dry out completely.

Agree- the shower is not drying out completely. The previous owners in our house had mold in the shower because the closed off the shower immediately after using it. I scrubbed it out, and I run the fan and leave the shower open- no mold has come back.

Sometimes mold can grow under the silicone caulk. At that point you need to remove and replace the caulk. If you're not comfortable doing this, a handyman can do it.

I have not had any issues with bleach based sprays (like Tilex) on tile. I would be careful on natural stones like marble.
