Friend dropped me

I had a close friend with kids similar age as mine. At our last get together, my 4 year old son punched her 4 year old son. I apologized and thought that everything was cool. This was the first and only time that anything violent has occurred (we have been friends since before they were born).T his was about a year ago. Since that incident she has stopped calling or responding to texts. I ran into her a couple of times and she was cordial saying something like let's get the kids together. Over the past year I sent her emails, texts, etc, no response. Should I just call her and ask her if she stopped being friends with me because of that incident? Or let it go since so much time has passed?
