Does it seem like the Trump campaign is starting to fall apart?

Maybe its just high hopes for me, but given the shift to more serious issues, like foreign policy, trade, etc, I feel like the Trump campaign is cracking a little. In his interviews, he sounds less and less lucid and makes pretty much no sense. Also, his comments on current events, like Brussels are just so out of touch with reality.

Are other people seeing this or is it just my (hopeful) imagination?

Can you point out when Donald Trump made any sense at all?

I actually agree. Something is going to blow up. I don't think it's wishful thinking. I think the general is going to be too different for him. He will definitely get the nomination.

One can only hope.

No, but at least when he was talking about "the wall", it was clear what he meant, even if the plan itself was unrealistic/unreasonable. Now, he cant even articulate a plan. "We should dismantle NATO, but if there's a treaty, I'll still abide by it, but there should be renegotiation, etc..." Its far less coherent.

His campaign manager was arrested for battery on the Breitbart reporter at the rally in Florida.

just had conversation with group of 50, 60 year old women in North carolina by willmington. All of them are for Trump, tired of what politicians are doing to country. I did not even start conversation. They don't care how he speaks to women, claims that is just they way he is, and that other people are just scared of him. the group hates Hillary and clintons. Yes Hillary is owned by big business.

Man I NEVER would have predicted this.

Going to be a fun election

some of women's husbands were in construction and all were for a "wall" , stop the immigration, said tired of gov supporting everyone and not taking care of our own grand children.

would have thought construction owners would have wanted immigration but wow, another dynamic is happening that is not seen inside the beltway.

What we have to hope for is:

1) Trump does irreparable damage to the gop's most recent incantation of itself, because although Trump is insane, the reality of the rest of the party isn't far behind.

2) The American public wakes up to his insanity. I'm so disheartened that so many Americans, seeking refuge--or a more extreme version of--the GOP's own extremism, saw git to consider Trump the right man for the PO residency.

3) the GOP does actually reform, not selling its ALEC/Koch Industries/Christian Conservative version of politics to it's constituents, but a bona fide compassionate conservatism somewhere in the middle of the political spectrum.

4) that the Democrats--not nearly so fetid, but definitely moving slowly in that direction--also consider their shenanigans open to reform, transparency, and the light of day.

That's what I hope.

That's a lie. He was not arrested.

It is your wishful thinking. He did an hour long interview with NYT on foreign policy recently. He has lots of new ideas that make sense. Millions of Americans understand his policies and agree with him. He is on track to win 50% of the delegates in a field of 17.

The problem is that the Republicans have created such an anti-government, anti-establishment base that every effort to "stop Trump" is interpreted by the Republican base as a sign that he is a threat to the "Washington insiders" they despise so much.

The GOP is reaping what it has sown for the last 25 years, and the latest poll:

Donald Trump now holds 48 percent support of registered Republicans and Republican-leaners, according to the NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking poll.

This is more than 20 points higher than his second-place competitor, Ted Cruz — who now enjoys 27 percent support. John Kasich got a boost of 2 points this week and holds third place with 18 percent support.

The question in the Republican race, however, is no longer whether Trump is the clear front-runner, but whether he will reach the magic delegate number of 1,237.

Per the WaPo, he is under arrest. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/03/29/donald-trumps-campaign-manager-was-just-arrested-and-charged-with-battery/?hpid=hp_rhp-top-table-main_lewandowski-1140a%3Ahomepage%2Fstory

He was charged with battery and has a court date on May 4th. I guarantee if he had jerked a man and threw him to the ground and left bruises, that man would have gotten up and kicked his ass. What a brute! I am so glad they have Lewandowski on film pulling the reporter. And by the way before you say the film was staged, it was provided by the police.

He won't be arrested, no doubt. But his ass should be given a very, very, very hefty fine.
