| Once I decided what breed I wanted, I began asking people I saw out walking that particular breed where they got their dogs. Did on line research and then finally contacted breeders directly with questions. |

| Go to your chosen breed club website and look for 'breeder referral' or 'puppy coordinator' ... and then call them. They'll be able to tell you which breeders have current/upcoming litters available. |

| Check out westminster show results page. You will instantly find serious top breeders that have generations of health and temperament tested dogs. You dont have to end up with a show puppy on your hands, every litter will have pet quality puppies. |
