Is this the goal for your kids?

| It is what it is. No one likes it but either you keep up or left behind. Time's changed... Not for the better, sadly. |
| Yes, these poor kids. |
| Oh I thought AP is Affair Partner. Dang! |
1 for monday, 1 for tues... you get a break on sunday to go to church
|
Yes. They're drinking and drugging themselves to numb the pain. Really, really sad. |
| A long time ago. I graduated from FCPS and every course I took junior and senior year was AP. Law school was easier than HS for me. One of the many reasons why I send my child to a private school that limits students to 2 APs per year. |
|
I took seven in the mid-90s, and nobody batted an eye.
What's the big deal? |
|
I went to high school in France - the French international Bac was much harder than undergrad in the US. Regular classes have very low standards here - AP and IB classes (albeit different) are about the same degree of difficulty as the best high school systems abroad. |
That's the part Americans don't understand. |
| I graduated over 10 years ago and took 6 APs both Junior and Senior year. This is nothing new? I loved the classes and I was glad to be out of the regular classes. Regular classes focused solely on trying to get kids to not misbehave and on discipline. There wasn't any learning happening there. |
| In this area, 6 is nothing. Have you seen kids take 13 and up? Now, that's crazy. |
Why would you pay to have your kids limited in the rigor of their coursework? |
What percentage of kids take the Bac? |
Same and I graduated hs in the early 80ties. I loved the classes and had a great time in high school. Some kids want the challenge and are happy to do it. |
