Favorite Sweet Gestures

What selfless or sweet gesture has someone done for you that you liked most? I was inspired by reading about a very selfless gesture in the True Confessions thread and thought it would be fun to take a break from our customary complaining and cattiness to celebrate the good stuff.

If I remember correctly, you got this idea from reading the story about the guy who left the money in the girl's purse(not what you think, people who didn't read this post) Got me thinking about a guy I dated in my early twenties who wrote me love letters-he even wrote to my dad(not a love letter, tee hee) at the time(we all hung out sometimes together). In my mid thirties I was in the first blush of a relationship with a guy and we were making out in the parking lot of a restaurant (OK-bar) that we had just spent the evening at-somehow one of my earrings came out of my ear and I lost it-it was one of my favorite pair of earrings (though not valuable at all). He went back the next morning to the parking lot, found the earring and gave it to me-I was floored! One of my neighbors is an elderly lady who I chat with now and then but that's pretty much it. One day she asked me why I looked so down and I told her my mother had recently passed away. The next day she and her son left a plant on my doorstop with a lovely condolence note. One of the kids I take care of (2 years old) asked me why my car made a funny noise and I told her I needed to get it fixed but didn't have the money right then. 3 days later she says to me "I have money" and I said "That's great." She said "I want to give you my money" and said "Heavens why?" and she said "to fix your car". I cried.
