My sister is turning 25 and she still lives in a small basement so I doubt this is her dream apartment and nothing to do with furnishing would do at this point.

She is a gorgeous girl and loves makeup and skincare stuff.

She likes high end boots, purses and jewelry. Her bf gets her jewelry from Tiffanys and designer bags so I can't compete with that and frankly don't have the money.

I was thinking of either giving her a gift card for the Red Door Spa or taking her out to dinner? I feel like both would be boring because she likes to do "crazy" things such as sky diving and bungee jumping.

My sisters that age just want gift cards: sephora, H&M, Forever 21, apple gift cards are most appreciated...

Why not get her Birch Box for six months? That way she'll think fondly of you for six months long and get to play with skincare and makeup monthly and maybe discover some new favorites.

I'm about to turn 25 (though no one buys me Tiffany's or designer bags, not that I would really want them anyway!). I like :

Good quality nail polish - expensive compared to regular nail polish but within the normal price range for a sister gift. Lasts a lot longer and is very easy to apply. My personal favorite is Dior.
Pretty kitchenware. For example, my mom got me a coloured cutlery set on sale that I use every day and absolutely love.
Fun bakeware that she wouldn't buy for herself.
A hand mixer, toaster or whatever random small kitchen appliance she doesn't have (my toaster died this morning so I'm feeling inspired!).
A pretty pillow or throw.
Cute tops I can wear to work under a blazer. Pajamas if you don't trust yourself with work clothes.
Maybe fancy/rare craft beer, or chocolate, or any fancy food she normally doesn't treat herself to.

Dinner would be appreciated but frankly I go out with friends often and it wouldn't feel particularly special to me. Also no one in my family really likes gift cards but obviously a ton of people do, so YMMV. If she's already a bit spoiled and doesn't need anything then it's a lot harder!

Yes, because it's totally inappropriate to offer a list of ideas in thread where OP's looking for gift suggestions This is a list of possibilities, not a list of actual gifts I received (except the first two). I only get one gift on my birthday anyway, and of course I buy gifts for everyone on their birthday - cause you know, that's how exchanging gifts works!
