What do you think it means? Science studies from Creationist viewpoint

I'm considering a private Christian school for DD's first grade.

I like the fact that they follow Saxon math.

But their about the Social Studies and Science it says the following:

"Our Social Studies curriculum focuses on understanding issues within a society and a culture from a Biblical perspective. Students are taught good citizenship through the development of our Christian and American heritage as defined by God’s law. Additionally, history topics are taught from a providential prospective. Our curriculum resources include Macmillan’s Communities Near and Far, Yellow Hammer’s The Alabama Journey, Glencoe McGraw-Hill’s The American Journey, Weekly Reader’s Map Skills for Today, and Scholastic News.

Our Science curriculum is taught from a Creationist viewpoint. The science curriculum resource is by Purposeful Design Publications. The curriculum helps students gain a deeper appreciation of God’s creation through scientific observation, experimentation, analysis, and age-appropriate scientific inquiry. "

What do you think it meas? What would you expect? That they wont' be teaching evolution or biology?

This seems pretty clear to me. No, they will not incorporate evolution.

As a historian, I can tell you that the school's history curriculum will not prepare students for a secular college or university, and your daughter will spend her first year history classes in college finding out that "because the Bible says.." is not an acceptable thesis statement.

Evolution and Creationism are both theories. Science, Time, math, order and matter are creations. Whether it all came from God or nothing are both faith based.

Stay far away from this school if you have any hopes of your children ever getting jobs in the real world.

Creationism is a theory, science is a method. It definitely appears they do not plan on teaching the appropriate methodology

The "science" will be something along the lines of-the earth was created by God in 7 days, 6,000 years ago. There was nothing and then one fine day there was everything.

They will be taught that the science theories they will hear in the world of sin is false and rejects God.

They'll be fine if your college goals are Liberty or Patrick Henry College.
