George Mason by far. The presence of Walter E. Williams on the faculty and their dedication to teaching Austrian economics puts them ahead of the pack among Virginia universities.

Too conservative for my taste, plus extremely biased based on their funding.

It means they tout the Koch Brothers form of economics (and politics).

A quality program should have more than one strain of theory.

You're right. Every Economics department should have one or two Keyenesians on their faculty, if for no other reason than to hold them up as bad examples.

Like that's a bad thing? Have you actually read up on Austrian Economic theory or are you just repeating the bromides and slander you hear on MSNBC?

Some banks will only hire people from top schools. So, among the choices of public universities in VA ... you already know the answer -- UVA.

I guess that depends on your goals. If you want to go to graduate school in economics, than I would go to William and Mary.

Economics is like astrology. Everybody knows that the only creator of wealth and efficiency is capitalism . Outside of that these supposed educated folks can't predict anything accurately . It's too complicated and they are all extremely limited in brains and all biased .
