In 3rd grade AAP after a few weeks do they switch to 4th grade math completely?

Or do they do 3rd grade math also?
How about in 4th,5th and 6th grade AAP math?

my dc was in 3rd last year and they did 3rd grade math with 4th grade extensions. They did the 3rd grade sol. from what I understand, they continue to do the extension until 5th grade, where they focus on 6th grade and do the 6th grade sol.

They do 3rd/4th in 3rd, 4th/5th in 4th, and mostly 6th in 5th.

At my child's school, they did third grade math during first semester of third grade and fourth grade math during second semester. They saved time by skipping all the review work at the beginning of the fourth grade book, since they had no break between the two texts so didn't really need any review. Then in fourth grade they did fifth grade math, in fifth, they did sixth, and in sixth, they did pre-algebra work. Many of the kids then went on to Algebra I Honors in seventh.

This is somewhat off topic, but the last post mentioned Algebra I Honours in 7th grade. There are pros to this but for those of you who may not know, many colleges and scholarship organizations do not accept high school credits taken in 7th grade. For those applying for TJHSST, Algebra 1 or higher is required only in the 8th grade. Just wanted to share.

Are the AAP students doing higher level in other subjects beside Math?

typically AAP students go deeper into a lot of topics and sometimes I found my son in AAP had more challenging reading assignments than sibs in GE.

In our school, they do 3rd and 4th together. It works like this - they get a new topic, say fractions. They do whatever 3rd grade curriculum requires - identifying fractions, smaller/greater etc; then they move on to 4th grade - finding common denominator, adding and subtracting etc. This is just an example - I have no idea where the line between 3rd and 4th really goes.
