Doctor with good bedside manner

I need to make a doctors appointment for a general check-up but I have extreme anxiety about it. I have serious white coat syndrome. Can anyone recommend a very kind/gentle doctor? I'm a female and think I would prefer a female, probably just need an internist. I'm in DC proper so hoping to find someone in the city.

| i have the perfect doctor for you!! Dr. Natalia Shotashvili with Comprehensive Primary Care in Woodley Park office. The office is staffed by all females as well. Dr. Shotashvili is seriously awesome, and she has NPs and PAs to see if you can't get in with her and you are sick. I have seen almost all of the staff at one point or another and I love them all. But Dr. Shotashvili is really special and has a fantastic bedside manner. |

| We go to Dr. Sonita Singh in Dupont (M and 19th). Everyone in the office has been very friendly and kind each time I go in and Dr. Singh is great. I believe the other doctors in the office are male. |

| Thank you all for the suggestions. I was able to book an appointment with Dr. Natalia Shotashvili for next week. I am very nervous but I do feel a little better at least knowing that she comes recommended. |

| OP again. Thanks so much to the poster who recommend Dr. Natalia Shotashvili, she was wonderful. I really liked her, she was very kind and understanding and I was seen less than 10 minutes after I arrived. I have already scheduled another appointment with her. |
