Where can my 8 year old learn German?

Hi, we are looking for German language lessons in Bethesda or Rockville. Any ideas? Thanks!

How about the German School in Potomac?

+1. My kids take Saturday morning classes there.

A friend's child participated in this last year and loved it. Immersion is the best way to go. I imagine these camps will get fuller and fuller as more Americans aim to get their children into German tuition-free universities down the road.

Aren't many Uni programs in English anyway? As someone who worked hard to become fluent in German I don't know if it's worth it, even if you plan to study there.

Some are and some aren't. Frankly, I think most Americans going to a German university may be underwhelmed. The education is very good, but the amenities are nonexistent. Don;t get me wrong, I think Americans have gone overboard with amenities at university, but it is a very different experience in Germany.

+1 I am from Germany and this is spot on. The public and private colleges I have seen here all look gorgeous compared to German facilities.
