A couple years ago someone posted the initials of those picked in lamb and Stokes lotteries. Maybe someone will do again?

Do people attending the lottery know their spot or waitlist position in advance, or what is the point of going?

The lottery is open to the public so that everyone can see that it is being done in a legitimate way.

Those who have attended in the past left knowing where their child landed.

One thing I would suggest once they post the results is saving a copy to your computer -- last year they deleted the results after the first week or two. It was nice to be able to reference as the waitlist moved. And it did!

How long does it take for LAMB to conduct the lottery,i.e., the pulling of names out of the hat?
Anonymous
I was wondering that too - trying to pinpoint exactly when I should be disappointed.

Usually an hour or two, depending on how many applicants.

But they need to do validation (sibling confirmation etc) before they will post it. They've said the results will be online no later than this coming Friday.

They'll probably call the winners today, they always have in the past. I think the sibling stuff is done, the siblings aren't in the general lottery (since there are more spaces than siblings).

LAMB parent here - just remember that they do take some time to make calls. They also may call your cell or (in my case) your home line that you never check. I believe I got the call around 3pm, and I definitely was in a state of high anxiety and panic all day. Best of luck to all of you, wherever you decide to send your little one to school.

Anyone go and know how many non-sibling slots there were for PK3?
