Watkins: How are things going with new principal?

Now that Watkins has a new principal, how has the change in administration impacted the school? Are the teachers and parents satisfied?

Very well, from my perspective. We had an unfortunate issue earlier this year involving highly inappropriate behavior by one student against my child. Principal Bell handled it well, better than I had even hoped. (I can't speak for the "offending child's" parents, but speculate that they were happy too.)

Principal Bell is at Ludlow-Taylor, yes?

Both LT and Peabody/Watkins principals' last names are Bell.

I think she is doing a great job. She's very visible, and easy to contact. i also like her efforts to tie the Peabody and Watkins' campuses closer together.

She made some excellent hires at Peabody this winter!

This is our first year at Peabody and the experience has been fabulous. I'm not sure how much of that is attributable to the principal, but I have had the chance to speak with her several times, and she seems to be very engaged and caring.
