Evaluation for ADD

Should we seek private evaluation or go through DCPS.

You should get a private full neuropsych eval if you suspect ADHD. ADD is now ADHD, inattentive type.

Getting DCPS to provide testing will be a long fight and long wait to get help for your DC especially when your child is getting Bs and tests well. Also, you will need current testing less than 3 yrs old if your DC needs testing accommodations for the SATs, ACT, etc.
