| For those of you that have stayed in Positano, do you have any hotels that you would recommend? How many nights would you recommend also? I've been there once but only for a day trip by ferry. |

Money no object? Le Sireneuse.
Positano is a little touristy however. Ravello is more breathtaking. |

We went to Positano as part of our Italy trip a few years ago. We spent two nights, seemed like the right amount of time. Stayed at Hotel California Positano, it was great. http://www.hotelcaliforniapositano.it/uk/index_uk.htm

We went last year as a last minute add-on to a trip to Rome. We stayed 3 nights (2 full days, one half day) which was a good amount of time to stay just in Positano. Gave enough time to see the little town and shops, try a couple of beaches, and eat in several restaurants. We loved it, and are going back again this summer. This time, we plan to stay 5 nights (after 3 nights in Capri) so we will have maybe 3 beach days and a couple other days to visit Amalfi and Ravello.
We stayed at the Hotel Savoia and loved it. Staying there again this year. Location is really good as it's on the main road (if you are driving or coming by bus) but near the start of the pedestrian zone so an easy walk down/up from the town and beach. |
| I stay at Hotel Poseidon when Im there. |
| +1 for Hotel Poseidon. Small, lovely, wonderful service, gorgeous views. |
| Oh, and a few days is plenty, though it's also an easy base for other trips (boat to Capri, etc.). It's very quiet with not a lot to do beyond eating and enjoying the view. Great place to relax. |
| Thanks for your suggestion's. Still trying to figure out how many nights in each city. My first thought was to do 4 nights because it's such a small village, I hope to do day trips while I'm there. |
| Agree with Le Sirenuse if money is no object. Stayed there on our honeymoon and it was amazing. We also took a day trip to Capri. |
