how to match cabinet knobs/pulls

Anonymous
My kitchen appliances and faucet are stainless. The door knobs/handles (pantry, closets, etc.) and all other faucets in the house are the oil rubbed bronze.

What color cabinet knobs and pulls do I buy? Are they "supposed" to match the appliances and faucet, or the door knobs?

Get satin nickel if you want to match the stainless appliances and faucet. There's no hard and fast rule that the pulls need to match anything. Basically use what you like!

We bought about 15 different kinds and tried them out with our cabinets and countertops. There was a clear winner. We loved satin nickel with out white cabinets and whitish counters. Oil rubbed bronze (though I love it), stood out too much. All the door knobs in my house are ORB. Nothing needs to match, just needs to flow well together.
