My son is turning 8. I would appciate some suggestions for a good place to have birthday party, close to Bethesda, MD. Many thanks!

| There are 1,000 threads on this. Maybe search the archives for ideas? What is he interested in? Time of year? How many kids? |
I tried searching the archive, found nothing useful for me until page 8 and stopped We'll have 12-15 kids, he likes music, buildings, science, space. He'd probably be happy with something like BounceU but I want something quieter and closer to our area.

If you have the space do a survivor style party. 2 teams, have them do an obstacle course, you can make this up with trees, sticks, hopping, jumping etc.
Then have each team do a puzzle, and eat something gross they think is gross, maybe even a vegetable they have to eat. |
Your house. Easy, cheap and usually the most fun and interactive. Kids rarely get a chance to just hang out and play. Everything is structured and supervised. Next best thing. A park/playground combo. |
We don't have a house. The only time I feel sorry about that is when my sons birthday is approaching Every year! We live in highrise Bethesda downtown.

Laser tag, mini golf, driving range, flight trampoline, pump it up, that new climbing place in MD, lego party, science party, nature center, fishing, bowling or just old fashioned home party with cake.
We are doing laser tag this week for my turning 7yo child. Many of our guests said this is the first time these 1st graders are going to laser tag. |
