| I know that this forum cannot be used to give away fertility drugs, but I'm wondering if anyone knows a way that can be done! We're finally done with the drugs and would love to donate the extras. If anyone has ideas, let me know. |
| PS. We're located in DC. |
| I think SG pharmacy will take back non refrigerated ones to use as donations to those paying out of pocket- you can call your nurse to ask. I have two refrigerated vials that I'm looking to donate so I'm also looking for ideas. I'm in Maryland. |
| Yup, talk to your nurse. I just got some meds from mine that someone else had donated. |
| My doctor always took them back. She would give us some if there was a shortage at the pharmacy or we were starting something new. |
| Your clinic should be able to take back unopened, unexpired drugs. |
+1, did this at both CFA and GW. |
But will they sell them? I don't trust that SG will actually give them to someone in need! |
Of course not! The nurses give them to patients without insurance. I received Ganirelix when I needed an urgent dose, and I gave it back when my order arrived. |
What else would SG do with them? My nurse gave me a donated gonal f pen, would have cost me 900 bucks! |
|
No they won't sell them.
I gave a massive shopping bag full back to my doctor. There were a couple of times they gave me injections at the office of something that they decided right then they wanted to give me and I'm sure that was all from donated supplies. I have a ton of expired fertility meds and needles I still need to get rid of... |
PP, you ordered for multiple cycles at once or how did you end up with that much (full bag)? |
|
Giving away prescription meds (any type) is illegal.

This is not the same thing. Are you trying to advertise for this law firm (in which case, your post will be removed)? |
| ok- how about this then: http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/21cfr/21usc/802.htm |
