Cap On Admitting Students From Same Preschool

Anonymous
Any idea whether or not Sidwell, GDS, Beauvoir and Maret limit the number of applicants they will admit from the same preschool? I'm guessing that my child may have a harder time getting in. Most of my child's preschool classmates are applying to the same schools for kindergarten, and all have the same school as their first preference.

BTW, is it necessary to specify a first preference to the schools?

Let me guess...Sidwell? That seems to be the 1st choice at my son's preschool too. Iguess there are going to be a lot of disappointed families.

No, the schools don't ask if they are your first choice.

It's Beauvoir. But, I'm guessing that your prediction about disappointed families still holds. At this point, I'm just hoping to have my child admitted to just one of the schools where we applied -- any one. It doesn't have to be Beauvoir -- as lovely a school as it is.
