Kew Gardens
|
| Walking the Millenium Bridge |
At night |
| The London Eye |
| Probably not. Maybe Greenwich or Hampton Court. |
I do not think that word means what you think it means. |

There's so much to do and see in London. With only 3 days I'd just stay in the city.
|
| Nope. Too much cool stuff in the city for only three days. |
| It depends. Have you been there before? Is it adults, family? What are your interests? Good day trip include Windsor, Oxford, Bath, Cambridge, and certain estates. |
Just adults, some of us have been there before, but not all. Can you guys recommend things to do in London? We're considering a bike tour. |

No day trips!
I'd spend a day in Westminster, Houses of Parliament, walk around Whitehall, walk along the Mall to Buckingham Palace and also do Trafalgar Sq and the National Gallery. One day I'd do the Tate Modern, Borough Market, walk around the south bank, potentially also the Tower of London. And one day Covent Garden, St Paul's, possibly Spitalfields Market. But it's too short a time to explore a city as incredible and varied as London. |
| Only if I'd already been. There are so many things to do in London. If you have seen the big tourist sites already, then maybe. I enjoyed Oxford a lot and it's doable in a day. |
I haven't done a bike tour but there are some good walking tours. I like to do the evening ones because it lets you keep touring after things are closed. I LOVE a lot of the museums there, however, if you have a short amount of time you may want to skip some of the art ones so to see more historical landmarks. The London Eye is cool but VERY skipable. I would see: Buckingham palace (if it is open) Westminster Abbey The Tower of London (try to apply to get tickets for the locking of the city) Kensington Palace Harrods Have Tea someplace The Victoria and Albert Museum The Imperial War Museum Houses of Parliament The Cabinet War Rooms The British Musuem Buy your tickets ahead of time to save time and money! Also, it sounds cheesy but do a hop on hop off bus tour to get your bearings. It helps. |

I would not do a day trip unless you've seen the basic sights already.
South Bank - Tate Modern, Globe, maybe the Eye. Lunch at top of the Tate. Walk Millenium bridge to/from. Knightsbridge -v&a, harrods Westminster, parliament, etc Piccadilly Circus - Regent Street, Liberty, Fortnum & Mason for tea, Carnaby Street. Regent Street is mostly American chains now but it's still worth a short walk. British Museum. Maybe the British Library which is nearby and has a room full of amazing stuff (Magna carta to Beatles lyrics on a napkin) that you can see in an hour or so. |
