PVI lost a lot to graduation so this result is surprising. But PVI coach is a good coach so while they may not have as much talent overall, they can game plan.

It is not surprising and it doesn’t have to matter who leaves. When you don’t develop players consistently and build for the future, you are bound to hit some rough patches and not have a smoother transition.

GC beat Hockaday (TX) 17-8
So tired of teams outside of the MidAtlantic and NE being ranked nationally. No way any of those teams can compete.

I read that GC freshman goalie is playing amazingly. Curious if other freshman at GC and St John’s are seeing the field?

SJC has 2 freshmen starting

Any good ISL team will have freshmen who start. Super happy for the GC goalie who has won hearts at DCUM but SJC, SR, Visi, Potomac, HC etc all have freshmen who start. This isn’t news - it’s just good player development/recruiting.

Has anybody else heard about that really great player that goes to that school? She is playing so well and doing so great! She’s also very helpful when I need to put the dishes away after dinner or to do. I was hoping that I could subtly draw attention to her and get someone else to say something nice.

Oh, and I hate DC urban Moms and tell everybody in my circle how ridiculous it is.

Thanks for noticing my kid. She really is great.

Take a step back to what really matters in life . Hyper analyzing private high school coaching strategy seems trivial - overall health of our young women, academic and social matches with the schools they attend, and their happiness should matter most.

If you are most concerned about having your child at the winningest lacrosse program you should really think twice about your priorities on so many levels.

On lacrosse specifically - go back and read the thread on how HS programs don't matter in college lax placement.

Also, If your child is riding the bench they are not playing D1 in college so stop spending your energy on this!

Okay, thanks for that intelligent insight, Coach B!

Your "circle" sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy looking down on the peasants while reading our posts and commenting yourself. The least self-aware posters of all are the holier-than-thou team.

By the way, the type of post you are mocking is actually pretty rare.

PVI v. Potomac (Tuesday)
SJC v. Episcopal Academy (Wednesday)

Most are off this week for spring break so not too many games.

Interesting - McDonogh lost to Episcopal School(PA) 7-8 yesterday. Wondering if their #1 ranking is in jeopardy? They only beat Visi by 2 and lost to SR (only a scrimmage) - but food for thought! McDonogh definitely hasn't scheduled a very tough season this year - except for Darien on 4/13.

McDonogh's schedule includes Vistation, Glenelg Country, NDP, Episopal (PA), Spalding, Darien, Maryvale, SPSG. Who in the country has a tougher schedule?
