My DC will be going to a sleepover camp for the first time this summer. Any suggestions for a trunk or bin to pack their belongings? I know it has to fit under the bunk bed, if that helps.
Any additional packing advice is welcome as well. Thanks!! |
| Instead of trunks, everyone just uses huge duffel bags that are soft. You can get them cheap on bags.com and get the size required by your camp or that is permitted on airplanes so you can use it for other stuff. |
I really recommend something that is waterproof and easy to access. Duffel bags have their uses, but I couldn't see trying to dig through that every day to find clothes. You also need something that keeps water from seeping through in case the floor is damp. I bought each of my kids this foot locker for scout camp and they're so useful we've been using them for our beach vacation instead of suitcases. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-Footlocker-Black/16415912 |
| Is something with wheels best? |
Yes. The foot locker above does have wheels on one side so you can roll it like a suitcase. |
