I'm relatively happy with my current job but I am exploring other job options. I'm going on an out of town job interview that will cause me to miss one day of work. Taking time off is not a problem but I'm not sure what to tell people.
Should I say I'm just taking a day off, or mention that I'm traveling just in case I get delayed and need to miss more work. I don't want to say I'm going on an interview because there is a good chance I will stay at my current job. I'm not from the US and could use some advice from people who know how to handle these things. |
| Take two days off. Problem solved |
| Just take the day off. No need to explain. Everyone needs a day off sometimes. If anyone asks, you can say you have an appointment (which is true). |
+1 Absolutely no need to tell people why you are taking off. And as a side note, definitely don't mention you are going on an interview. |
