Alexandria adding EDP play-question about nova/DC teams

Out of DC Stoddert, McLean, Alexandria---

Which travel club would you pick for a boy?

Best training? These make the most sense geographically.

Reading the announcement, it's clear that Alexandria did not feel WAGS and NCSL could still provide adequate to their top teams, although on the girls side, that doesn't really seem to be an issue. I have to wonder if ASA tried to join CCL or VPL and didn't make the cut but in any event, it's a further dilution of talent from NCSL and WAGS.

I do not have a kid who played for any of those clubs but I would pick McLean from the three you list. Arlington is not included but it's right in the middle of the three and has better results on the boys side than the ones you listed.

Alexandria. Young, energetic technical staff with quality coaches and a desire to build for future. Avoid Stoddert and McLean. The quality of Stoddert coaching is poor and the club is not very well managed. I'd only consider McLean if DS is elite level and wants to play on a Development Academy team. Otherwise, you will be largely ignored and serve primarily to fund the initiatives for those players. Coaching quality at McLean has also declined in past couple of years.

Yea, don't care about results at the younger ages. Looking for better training/practices/coaches.

Doesn't Bethesda play in EDP? Why would somebody consider CCL better?

EDP is for individual teams. CCL and VPL are for clubs. A good club would like to see all of their teams face good competition, and to have the flexibility to have players play up for some games.
