just curious, how many posts and threads do you delete a day?

I am curious. No real need to know...if this is DCUM proprietary, but I would like to know how many posts you delete each day and how many threads you delete each day.

I really have no idea. I just checked what I did yesterday (it is all logged) and I deleted approximately 75 posts or threads. That includes posts/threads removed because they were spam as well as those that were removed because of content. Yesterday seemed like it was a busy day for removing things, so I would guess that most days are about half that number.

That is less than I would have thought.....but does that include the bot that deletes any conservative thread?

If by "conservative" you mean "racist", then yes. But, conservatives like to claim that they are not racist. So, you make the call. There are still plenty of non-racist, conservative threads around.

I was joking. I see people complaining about you deleting threads you disagree with. My experience is you delete threads that will turn this forum into fairfax underground.

I see many conservative posts surviving, and some progressive posts deleted. (and I a more on the progressive side, though tend to avoid politics because people are crazy).

(I am in the DC area, even though my IP may indicate I am not; I think my work IP is masked....).

QUESTION: when it comes to trolls, the worst ones who like to go through each thread and rapid fire rude comments, is it best to report each post they make? Sometimes that would mean like 6-8 reports and I assume you are sometimes busy. I'm wondering if you can delete it all based on their IP address or if you need to see each one.

You guys are doing me a favor by reporting messages. So, you should try to make things as easy for yourself as possible while also helping to ensure that I can actually respond effectively. If a single poster has multiple posts in a thread, you could report the first one while mentioning in the comments section of the report that there are additional messages. If the posts are in multiple threads, you can also report a single message and mention that similar posts are in other threads. In that case, I can find those via IP address as you suggest.
