Does anyone have experience with both the full day and part day preschools at Ohr Kodesh? How do they compare? I sense that the programming is very different and I'd love input from moms.
Also, I noticed some comparisons to the Bindeman Center. If anyone has further thoughts on how the Ohr programs compare for both summer and full year programming I'd be grateful. Thank you! |
I think the pool of people who've had children in both is probably pretty small, and those folks might not be on this forum, so you may want to ask the directors of the centers for families that have overlapped. I have a child in the full-day program for 3/4 year olds and have found the director to be very up-front and responsive, so I think she would be very helpful. |
Does anyone have comparative thoughts between Ohr Kodesh and Temple Sinai? |
Full day and part day programs at OK have different directors and are completely separate. As PP stated, they serve very different needs.
We have DC at the part day program and absolutely love it. But if you need full day care, then it really doesn't help you. I do work, as do many of the parents, but most have nannies to help with pick-up and drop-off. i have found the other parents to be wonderful people. The teachers are great and really know kids. Curriculum is not truly academic, but kids learn socialization, about Judaism, lots of science, nature, etc. I didn't love the mommy and me Gam-Ani for the under-2 year old set, but it does guarantee you a spot in the preschool, which is why most people do it. |
