| Is it worth it to use a CPA to file taxes? I have been filing myself on turbotax for years with home and business software, and it has worked out okay for me so far. I file for a couple of llc's for rental homes, as well as the usual personal taxes. Am I missing out by not using a CPA? If I am, how do I even go about finding a good one? I've talked to a few recommended by friends and family, but they don't seem to do anything differently than me. Thanks. |
| For most people it's not. For rental property or your own business it might be. Are you comfortable you are properly depreciating everything and dealing passive activity rules? Then probably you are ok, but it might be worth using one once to see if your numbers agree. |
