I'm trying to put this all in perspective. Maybe they don't have playrooms and parks nearby so their rooms have to act as a play space as well? I could never get my 8 yr old to bed if he had a punching bag hanging from his ceiling.

That room with a climbing wall is totally awesome! My boys would go crazy if they had it. There must be a way to do this with Ikea furniture...

I have a friend who does murals. One client had a different Disney themed mural painted every year for over 10 years. It was like 15k a pop. When I was in college I installed playhouses for kids in the Hamptons. One was a 400 sqft castle. It was pricey.

Uh, the "Sleeping Beauty" crib is just that--massive suffocation hazard for a baby. The designer should be sued.

Some of these are achievable pretty easily for those who are handy and patient.

+1. Our friends just did the cut though in the wall for their twins rooms. Super cute.

I'm not PP, but do you live under a rock? Bumpers are a suffocation hazard whether you like it or not. You can't even buy them in Maryland because they've been banned.

Of course they are. and you can get them in any store for cheap. they are not something only designers/rich people have access to.

Love the train cut-out and miniature door!

I wanted to do that, and DH shut it down. Oh well.

Right. No one was talking about whether only designers or rich people have access to them.

Op, don't worry yourself about what the rich kids are doing. They don't care about you.

The crib bumpers AND the curtains:

The "designer" needs to face the firing squad.

I love the treehouse one (that the father built himself). Some people have a real creative impulse!! I have found myself getting completely absorbed in expensive, crazy projects too, but nothing like that. And his daughter must love it!
