best kid-frinedly all inclusive in mayan riviera

Anonymous
We're looking to go on a trip in December with our son (who'll be 2) and another couple with twins of the same age. Any recommendations for a great all inclusive resort that is easy with kids in the mayan riviera?

Went to Sandos Playacar (stayed in Riviera section) and we loved it. Very kid friendly but at 2 the kid's club they can only stay a couple hours. Our son was 2.5 when we went. We like having him with us but left him twice for 2 hours (once to go to spa, once to have some time alone). Spa was VERY nice if you like spas. Great peaceful pool, sauna, etc.

The Riviera rooms were new modern and had a great jacuzzi tub, and there was a separate living area. The pools were great, and our son loved the ice cream machine right on the beach and the food was great. (Tip: go to the Italian buffet behind the main buffet, great food. The workers were friendly, easy 40 minute ride from cancun.

Didn't the U.S. recommend recently to NOT travel to Mexico? (Not because of swine flu but because of crime.)

No, it's quite safe. There was an article in Post showing that actually, your have a greater chance getting into crime trouble here at home vs. at the tourist spots in Mexico.

That said, we skipped our trip to Mexico this May due to flu and am going to Curacao instead.
