Ideal thyroid level after bfp?

Anonymous
I finally got my bfp on my 3rd FET and also found out my TSH is 3.2. During my initial testing my TSH has always been under 2. I am super early...4.5 weeks. My dr at SG said 3.2 is fine, but I have heard otherwise on this board. What is the ideal TSH level? Should I go see an endocrinologist?

Congrats!!!

My endo says that TSH should be no higher than 2.5 in pregnancy, ideally less than 2.0. My RE also was fine with my TSH at 3.1 but my endo immediately put me on synthroid. I have no idea why most REs and OBs are on a different page but endocrinologists are much more up to date on the current studies.

My Endonsaid 3 was ok but I wasn't okay with that and insisted on 2.5 or less. It's not worth it

I was monitored monthly during pregnancy and when mine got that high my meds were adjusted. I'd trust your endo over your RE, they only focus on ttc.

OP here. Thanks. I thought I should see a specialist. Any recommendations? I have called a few and they are not taking patients until May/June!

Dr Jha at Inova, va was very responsive. Had 2.7 while doing ivf she put me on synthroid with monthly monitoring.

I saw Dr Caroline Huang at VHC. Perhaps if you let them know you are pregnant they can get you in sooner? I'd also push back with your RE.
