Looking for feedback for a couple families considering Woodberry - one for 11th grade, one for 9th. I know there is a new headmaster and they just hired a former UVA QB as the AD. The older kid would be leaving another VA private school and the younger kid is in upscale public school. Other DCUM parents involved with admissions this year or last?

The new headmaster is a rising star. Former Woodberry student himself, then was #2 at the Jefferson Scholars Foundation for a while (while he got his Ph.D. from UVA), and now poised to bring the school into the 21st Century.

Great school, currently still very Old South. Not for those seeking a turbo-charged academic experience that leads to taking 10 APs and a track to the Ivy League.
