| I know it won't be swimming weather but hoping to have kids play on the beach and check out the towns. We have never been. Most likely would stay at Sanderling. |

Most beach houses have pools that can be heated if you want to pay more. In addition, most houses have hot tubs, which are open year round.
I have gone in November before and seen kids play on the beach. |
| My folks have a place there. April is hit or miss. Could be freezing, rainy, or beautiful. If you're not tied to a particular week, I'd check the weather and puck a week that looks the warmest. Also, just a heads up/ many restaurants and activities don't open until Memorisl Day. |
| Totally hit or miss. I'd be worried about rain/overcast skies. |

Yeah, April can still be gross weather. North Carolina is serious about the 'april showers' adage. Heated or not, I wouldn't be swimming in the pool when it's 60, breezy, and overcast.
Rather deserted unless it's an event weekend (like Easter, altho that's March this year...) until Memorial Day. Less choice of restaurants and activities. |
