| Any suggestions? FTM so I have no idea what to look for. Looking for something practical and functional. How much would you spend? |
| get a backpack so you can remain hands-free when chasing your toddler through parks... skip hop makes a good one |
| I found a cheap Fila brand backpack diaper bag at Burlington Coat factory. It's been my go to bag for two years now and still going strong! |
| You want something with many pockets, both inside and out. Carries the way you like to carry a purse (meaning, do you like a cross body, a handbag, etc). Preferably machine washable. If you are unsure, spend $20 on a carter's bag and see what you think in a month. |
| Definitively a backpack. One strapped heavy bag will eventually kill your shoulder and posture. |
| Also recommend a backpack. We were given a dad gear backpack when our daughter was born and 3 years later we still use it as our daily bag for all her stuff. One of the zippers has started to stick a bit but otherwise it has held up well and has a lot of different pockets. |
| Just a plain old backpack. |
This! My first diaper bag I hated and then knew what I wanted out of a bag. I would also absolutely hate a backpack btw. |
| Skip Hop Versa |

My LL Bean boat bag was wonderful as a diaper bag. Just put your things in clear make-up bags so that you can see them. You will lose things in a bag with tons of pockets.

| I hate my skip hop bag with lots of pockets. Hardly anything fits inside. I'd rather have a bag with one large compartment and maybe one smaller one. My current bag has so many compartments that nothing actually fits well inside and I have to take practically everything out to get to anything. |

I have been through so many diaper bags, and my favorite one so far is the Built neoprene one. It's super light but rigid and awesome

This. |
Me too! I love this bag so much. In use for 2 years and now about to be again for another baby. |
| I've had a bunch and I like the one from LL Bean. Honestly, now well into kid #2, I mostly just use a big tote bag. But, a diaper bag can be nice and is not a waste for a FTM. |
