Full Circle Montessori vs Kinhaven

Anonymous
I am trying to decide between the two schools to place my 2 year old in Sep. He has been with a nanny until now and we prefer a 5 day/week program as we are expecting in May and it would be great for him to be out of the house every morning. Any thoughts/experience on either schools?

These schools are vastly different. I think Full Circle is 5 days a week and Kinhaven is 2 or 3 depending on the class. Kinhaven is a play based coop while Full Circle has no parent requirements and is a Montessori. The only real similarity that I'm aware of is that they are both in Ballston. If you haven't already I would visit both schools. I have been to both and got a very different feel from them. Maybe read up on the Montessori philosophy too.

Thanks! Yes I have toured both and have done lots of research etc, just curious if people have direct experience with either school.

I have a kid at FC. We're very happy with the school. No experience with Kinhaven.

Happy to answer specific questions.

Please be aware that Full Circle is not accredited as a Montessori school by AMI or AMS.

I know many happy families at both schools. We looked at both schools and would have happily sent our kids to either. Can't go wrong either way, it's more about personal preference.

Did you already do your observation at FC? That helps get a better feel.
