My DD hurt her foot way back in September. I took her to Shady Grove Ortho Associates (at the recommendation of her ped) as no one else could fit her in. They could not find a break, but put her in an aircast to stabilize her foot as it was swollen and hurt. Fast forward to February. She is complaining of pain in the same area of the same foot. No swelling that is noticeable, not discolored and doesn't feel any different than her other foot. She does severly out-toe and wears orthodics in her shoes for this. I can always take her back to the same practice, but we did not see a ped ortho there. She has been to Dr. Reff in the past. I'm wondering if there is anyone else recommended in case I cannot get her an appointment.

Not ped per se, but recommended by our pediatrician, and we have had a good experience there. Only one doctor, so wait times can be long (go early!). But he's really nice and takes plenty of time to answer questions. My 8 year old warmed to him very easily. |
Each of my kids were treated by Dr. Kessous (4 year old with a broken wrist and 12 year old with a separated shoulder), and both had great experiences with him. The staff was excellent as well, and the radiology office was just downstairs, which made it really easy when x-rays were needed. |
He treated my DD's fractured wrist last Spring. We were very happy with everything. |

Dr. Ken Fine at The Orthopaedic Center MD:
