Whole House Water Filters

| Our water smells and tastes of chlorine. We are looking for a whole house water filter. Has anyone put one in? Is it a DIY kinda thing or who do I contact; a plumber, gen contractor? What are the pros or cons? |

I've thought about it, but they're not cheap and DH isn't on board.
Where are you? The chlorine smell may be temporary, they periodically shock the water systems. |
