Fitness Routine Post Pregnancy?

How did you get back into working out after pregnancy. The gym at my work is awful. One treadmil. One eliptical and it's in the basement.

Running!!! Couch to 5K. Start slow and build mileage and intensity.

I second that! Did couch to 5K (and was not a runner previously) and did a 5K 10 weeks post baby. Four months after the baby I was smaller than before kids.

I have horrible knees so I've always been more of a walker. I put the kids in the DuoGlider and away we go. I live about 2 miles from Bethesda Row so I make it an outing: When we get there its trains at Barnes and Noble, or Storytime at the Library or we'll play at the park on Arlington. Then we have lunch (usually I bring from home) and I've had enough of a break that I'm ready to walk back.

and lift weights for your arms. take it from the mother of a four year old who seems to have developed shoulder issues that the PT says is from lifting my son for years...she says it's very common and she advises all new mothers to strengthen their arms since the children get heavier and heavier faster than you naturally adjust.

Both times I just run my ass off. Got addicted to it after the first one (was a here and there runner before kids). I am lucky to have treadmill at work, treadmill at home, and run outside durning work and at home on weekends. Together with BF and a bit of weight watchers, it's come off steadily.
