Swimsuit for thin person with flabby belly

Anonymous
The pool in my neighborhood opens this weekend and I'm totally unprepared. I've lost all the weight from DS #2, but I've got serious muffin top/flabby belly and I think my bikinis are going the way of the dodo. Any suggestions for where to find cute swimsuits that don't make me look like a grandma?

Try the Lands End catalog. They have swimsuits with tummy control panels. I bought that swim-mini (it's a skirt) with the tummy panel. It has a nice wide waist band.

Victoria's Secret tankinis.

Look for a tankini with a top that's not too tight adn that comes down low enough so as not to leave your midsection exposed. Ruching at the waist is also good. Land's End is good, but I find it a little dowdy. Athleta has some nice swimwear. And believe it or not, Targe had some really nice tankinis last time I checked.

Try Everything But Water (in Tysons Mall). They have some sexy suits that don't show everything you're trying to hide. Try a monokini.

I can't find the thread now, but I tried "Always for me" from a rec. on this forum. Got the suit yesterday and it's great. The bra is much more supportive than my land's end suit.

Do Landsend suits run big or small? I usually take an 8 in bathing suits but they only have 6 and 10 in the suit I want to try. Never ordered a suit on line before so I'm a bit worried. My "measurements" seem to cross several sizes in their chart...bust for size 6 but hips for size 10, but I may not be measuring correctly.

I think they run just slightly on the small size. I'd go with the 10. If it doesn't work, you can return it to Sears (you don't have to ship it back).

I disagree with the PP. I think they run big. You can always order both and take the one you don't need back to Sears.

i would try a miracle suit. they sell a bunch of them in victorias secret catalogs but all of them have well placed ruching.

This sounds strange but I actually got a maternity swimsuit at Target, in size medium. They aren't very big, surprisingly, but they hide the belly (longer, flowing top with bikini bottom). And they are very cute...you would never know they're maternity.

I posted about "Always for Me". The suits run small - I read this on their site and I am glad I did. I am a 14 but ordered a 16 (smallest size they offer anyway).

The belly panel is as good as my Land's End Suit. The bra area is much more supportive.

sure this isn't helping OP anymore - but I found a great suit at Old Navy this year with tummy control AND it was only $13
