SG Lupron Protocol - 1st IVF

I am about to start taking the three weeks of birth control pills + lupron injections in preparation for our 1st IVF. For those who have done this protocol before, how long were you on lupron? Were you monitored while on the lupron? And, when did you start on the stimulation meds? Thanks!

You're on lupron for the last 3 days of bcps, followed by about 7 days of lupron alone and then you start stims and continue lupron until retrieval.

bcps days 1-21
lupron and bcps days 19, 20, 21
expect period about 3 days after stopping bcps, continue lupron alone
on day 3 of period go to office for monitoring for "lupron evaluation" to make sure you are supressed
if supressed, start stims that night, continuing lupron.

SO the only "monitoring" you have on lupron is the lupron eval which is on day 3 of the period you get after stopping bcps

What clinic did you do this at? Is this protocol pretty standard across the board? I'm starting my first IVF cycle in the next few months and I'm not sure what to expect. Thank you!

But be aware that it is not uncommon to be kept on lupron longer than expected if your hormone levels at your day 3 lupron evaluation aren't where they need to be. I think that happens 10-15% of the time.
