Do you need to cal in an absence fcps if you are out of town?

| I've never given a reason. Just left a vm on the call in line saying kid won't be in. Always shows up as excused. |

If I know in advance my kid won't be in, I might send a note in beforehand so I don't need to remember to call the attendance line.

Lucky you. Secretaries at our school seem to enjoy to give us a headache with absences. |

That does suck! When we tell our secretaries we are traveling, they ask where and genuinely tell us to have a great time! |

Ours do too but they marked it unexcused. They mark anything w/o details of illness unexcused. |
