Fairfax County public schools FY 2010 Budget and GT center transportation

Anonymous
Just saw this posted on another list -- the Public Hearing on the FY 2010 budget is tonight at Luther Jackson Middle School:

====
To piggyback on Louise's post -- the School Board is ramping up their FY 2010 Budget work, with a work session set for this Thursday at 6 pm (to be televised on Channel 21). Any/all amendments to the proposed FY 2010 Budget (which eliminates transportation for some GTC students, saving $200,000) need to be filed by Noon on Friday. The final vote is set for next week.

Therefore -- if you have not written to your School Board members (as outlined beautifully by Louise in her post below), *PLEASE* take the time to do so now!

Thank you!
Karen
