| My DC has a strong first choice out of the 4 schools we applied to. Is it okay for DC to write a first choice letter? DC is 10yrs. And yes I'm leaning strongly to her going there is she is accepted. |
| I think that would be better than a letter from a parent. |
Yes, that's a nice idea. And first choice letters from parents are also common and not frowned upon; they can make a difference if it is truly a situation of "all things being equal." |
| Can you still send a first choice letter if you already sent in your application? |
Yes but I would hurry up on it. They may have already made their decisions or are about to. Good luck!!!!! |
| I am trying to decide whether its worth it for us to write one? We are only applying to one school but I don't think it asks on the application what other schools you are applying to so I am not sure if I need to reiterate that. I don't want to nag the admissions person. |
Many parents write these, provided that you are willing to accept once offered a spot. That being said, it should come from the parent. I think its not age apropriate for a 10 year old to think that up on their own and it would seem a bit like a ploy to have your child write one. THey are 10 years old. |
I agree that it should come from the parent, and certainly would not hurt for you to restate that if given a spot, your child absolutely would attend. |
