Absolutely everyone is for more humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The problem is that Hamas keeps stealing it.

That's just not true. There are quite a few members of the Israeli Government against any, let alone more, aid for Palestinians in Gaza, or the West Bank. Those Israeli Government members seem to think that if they just starve the Palestinians then the Palestinians will conveniently ethnically cleanse themselves.

That's false. Aid convoys have been going in. But they have been having other issues, like finding truck drivers willing to risk their lives. Hamas has opened fire around the trucks when people complained about them stealing the aid.

Post your source for this claim.

Are you for real? There have been dozens and dozens of documented instances of Hamas shooting people and threatening people and taking the aid for themselves going back to December and earlier. Here's yet another recent instance: https://www.jpost.com/israel-hamas-war/article-781286

Stop gaslighting. Stop defending Hamas. Stop deflecting. Stop pretending none of this is real. Stop pretending there is one and only one bad guy here and that it's the IDF.

This is a lie spread by Israel that Hamas is stealing aid. Both the UN and the US say this is not happening. So do you believe Israel or the US?

From a Wapo article today:

Israeli officials have repeatedly charged that any lack of aid is due to Hamas looting inside Gaza, something that both the United Nations and the United States deny. Any looting that has taken place, a U.N. spokesman said in recent days, has been by “desperate” Gazan civilians who don’t know when or if the next delivery will come.

A senior U.S. official also sharply disputed Israel’s characterization, saying that “the Israeli government has not brought to the attention of the U.S. government … any specific evidence of Hamas theft or diversion of assistance provided via the U.N. and its agencies. Full stop.”

Did you forget when Hamas fighters pushed themselves to the front of the line, (ahead of dying children) to get medical treatment in the early days of the war? Maybe you missed that.

I too am very excited for the next Trump presidency. The Muslim ban was clearly not indicative of anything. Obviously an ally of Palestinians. Jared Kushner didn't have enough time to fix the Middle East. But he'll get it right next time. He'll be totally great for Palestinians.

And evangelicals aligning with the left. Fist bumps.

It'll be awesome. So much better than those bad democrats.

Trump will be great for Palestinians. Totally not a friend of Netanyahu.

Voting against democrats is definitely the wise thing to do.

We are not so naive that we think Trump is an ally of Palestinians or will take a stand against Israel. We just know both parties are the same. Neither is working towards investing in healthcare, education, infrastructure, gun control or climate change And it’s about time we take a stand to show the democrats that you can’t use your campaign rhetoric to buy our votes only to repeatedly let us down. Sure it will get a lot worse before it gets better but this is the only way for the party to take us seriously. Deliver results or forget about our votes.

Lenne get this straight: you’re willing to harm innocent and vulnerable citizens now in order to generate hypothetical long-term gains?

Who does that sound like?

Netanyahu.

They are willing to do burn the country down because they are throwing a tantrum. Idiots.

Interesting that they care more about Palestinians than the most vulnerable Americans.

No I actually care about the vulnerable Americans but do tell me how Biden has helped them? Has healthcare become more affordable? Have prescriptions drugs become more affordable? Has public education drastically improved? Has there been meaningful progress on gun control legislation? Your empty rhetoric will not change our minds.

Oh sure, how about some BernieBro / Jill Stein 2.0 as you send more dippy idiots like yourself running into Trump's arms like you did in 2016?

And that's AT BEST. At worst, you are just a dishonest shill engaging in concern trolling. Failed path in life, either way.

Why do you keep blaming the far left or Jill Stein if Trump wins? Why don’t you blame your party’s candidate for failing to deliver on his promises and being such a big colossal disappointment. Maybe have him try harder to win our votes.

They are in denial. You can look at the numbers in each state Jill Stein highest vote tally was 1/2 of the third party right wing candidates. In many case the right wing third party candidateS end up getting 3 to 4 times the votes of Jill Stein. Biden and dems are ignoring what a voters are telling them.

We are now in the early stages of a wider war with the US committed to bombing every other country in the Middle East to keep Bibi and the other religious radicals in power in Israel. This will only be worst by November. Very few people actually support Israel.

The base of the Democratic Party if the left and progressive but even the moderates have turned their backs on Israel. Biden will be the first president to lose because of support for Israel. Right now the house and senate control are in jeopardy.

Did you see this in a dream last night?

You would have to be an obtuse moron to believe that support for Biden hasn't been adversely impacted since Israel began their latest campaign of terror in Gaza. It's 2024 - most sober, impartial voters have come to realize the initiator role Israel has consistently played in Middle East conflict over the past 75 years. The "we just want to be left alone to live in peace" charade isn't even close to believable any longer. Therefore, the argument that Biden's future fortunes haven't been affected by his his blind, unconditional support of Israel is ridiculous. And the belief that he has picked up more votes from supporters of Israel (Jew and non-Jew alike) than he has lost from those horrified by Israel's actions is certifiable.

"Initiator role" my ass. As if 10/7 was an Israeli false flag. As if somehow Israel deserved to have 1200 civilians massacred. Hamas initated this round of violence, you disgusting dumbass. Defense and retaliation isn't "initiation." Give it up. You are the most obtuse moron here.

What about prior to 10/7, chosen one?

Prior to 10/7, they also tried repeatedly to massacre and exterminate Jews repeatedly, like 1948–49, 1956, 1967, 1973, 1982, and so on.

Israel invaded Egypt in 1956 and 1967. Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982. 1973 and 1948 are on the Arab states though. Just calling balls and strikes.

1956 was because of Egyptian hostilities and an illegal ship blockade. Israel invaded, to get Egypt to reopen the Strait.
1967 was for the exact same reason as 1956.
1982 was a result of PLO conducting attacks on Israel from Lebanon.

So again, Israel didn't actually start any of those either, and it's pretty dishonest to try and pretend Egypt and Lebanon were just sitting there minding their own business, doing nothing wrong, to have Israel suddenly attack them for no reason at all. But that dishonest approach seems to be the only like of argumentation the pro-Palestine people have.

Is that a cultural thing with Arabs? Poke, jab and punch someone continually until they finally get angry, turn around and slap you to the ground in retaliation. And then, you pick yourself up from the ground and say "HOW DARE YOU! I WILL RETALIATE!!!" - that's basically what the Houthis are doing right now, too. It's just bizarre and shows massive cognitive dissonance. Invasion of Gaza WAS the retaliation - for 10/7. Bombing of Houthi military sites WAS the retaliation - for attacking US vessels, for attacking commercial ships. Sorry but you don't get to pretend like you did nothing wrong and that it's somehow unfair, because that's not at all what happened. I can't imagine walking around and punching some random person in the face, and then when they get angry and hit you back for it, you say "NOW I AM AGGRIEVED AND MUST RETALIATE!" No, dude. You started it.

You are so tough now. It’s astonishing to see the lack of self awareness, though.

You lack the self awareness to admit and acknowledge that all of this is because Arabs have been trying to exterminate Israeli Jews for 75 years. Fortunately they haven't been very good at it.

Tell us: how should Palestinians retaliate for settler violence, imprisonment and land annexation?

Oh I forgot. God promised you this hand. Like, PERSONALLY.

In all fairness other Arab states did learn not to f with Israel and NOT to take Palestinians in.

Yes. An important point. Egypt and Jordan have made their peace with Israel. Saudi Arabia and Qatar are trying to formalize things. No one in Syria or Lebanon wants war with Israel except some Shi'a militants. And after all this fighting in Gaza, absolutely no one is helping Palestinians, much less taking them in as refugees.

Still have no idea what Hamas was trying to accomplish by invading Israel.

I have no idea what the end game for Hamas is here. Gaza is destroyed. Hamas militants will be killed one by one. It’s almost like their political wing living in luxury in Qatar and Turkey decided that it’s time to retire and threw the rest of Hamas along with Gaza civilians under the bus. Israel wants its hostages back, what does Hamas want at this point?

So this PoV sets up the narrative that the displacement, suffering and killing of Palestinians is all Hamas’ fault.

But the situation is much more complex.

Have you considered that Hamas felt life for Palestinians was intolerable filled with inequities (checkpoints, limitations of movement, no water rights, etc) and injustices (Palestinians held in Israeli jails indefinitely without charge with torture techniques like cigar burns used) and with the world not caring about the life they were living, they took drastic (horrible for sure, evil for sure) action.

From a Palestinian view, what Hamas did on 10/7 was retaliation for similar actions that Israel had inflicted on them in the past (imprisonment = kidnapping) torture/rape/killing (10/7 was horrific, I’m not disputing that at all. And perhaps the Israeli actions of inflicting torture and rape on Palestinians are much more isolated cases, but those are the stories that Palestinians have grown up hearing.

All I can think it’s that Israel’s outsized response is just setting the stage for the next generation of hatred.

Full stop.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2024/01/14/israel-gaza-low-intensity/

Did you forget when Hamas fighters pushed themselves to the front of the line, (ahead of dying children) to get medical treatment in the early days of the war? Maybe you missed that.

Oh look more bs Propaganda! Was this before or after Israelis blew up the hospital and killed the doctors and children waiting in line?

Let’s face it the IDF would blow up Red Cross vehicles evacuating wounded. Why should anyone support the IDF or Israel? The Russian are more civilized.

He also always comes on after midnight when it’s 8am in Moscow.

Who knows? If they are really from Moscow, they’re probably related to 90% of the Israeli population.

Interesting number manipulation, with 45% of Israeli Jews being Mizrahi (middle east and north africa) and 32% being Ashkenazi (12.5% from the former USSR) the numbers just don’t seem to fit your narrative https://people.socsci.tau.ac.il/mu/noah/files/2018/07/Ethnic-origin-and-identity-in-Israel-JEMS-2018.pdf

So even by your distorted numbers, less than 45% are indigenous? Yikes.

oh no, someone called you out on your delusions, and you went for the old “Jews are not indigenous to Israel” trope? What’s next? Hasbara, shill list, jews are not loyal to the US, genocide, bubbie, Jews are from Kiev, Smotrich blah blah, don’t shoot yourself in the matzoh ball, Zionism is terrorism. Did I forget something or is there another insult in your toolbox?

I am Jewish and I will choose my religion over the US every time. God is first. My country is Israel not the US. Some Jews do not feel this way but the vocal pro Israel one do.

More of the same propaganda from the “first blood was drawn on 10/7” brigade of mental midgets. Hardly surprising.

There is no way he is going to win this election and you all can blame the Zionists and Israel for his loss. This is what happens when you’re too busy sucking up to another nation and not focusing on what is important to your own people.

So you are saying that Hamas felt that by attacking Israel which will result in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians will bring them what? Sympathy? I still don’t understand the end game. What is the objective for Hamas? What have they accomplished? What will they accomplish?

I have no connection to Hamas so can’t say for sure but my feeling is that they felt wronged and angry. Maybe they were egged on by Iran / others? Maybe they thought Arab countries would rise in their defense? Maybe they could t imagine the horror that Israel has unleashed upon them (never again should mean never again for all)?

Cutting Budgets, Netanyahu and Smotrich to Arab-Israelis: Drop Dead
The Finance Ministry's plan for unprecedented and disproportionate cuts in budgets meant for the development of Arab communities proves that the government has decided that Israel's Arab citizens will be the first to pay the price for the economic disaster

I don't like Netanyahu. I think he's a cynical and deeply corrupt hack. I don't like the settlers in the West Bank. Think they are awful colonists. Don't care for the the ultra-orthodox either. Ignorant, cruel, racist, misogynists who tend to be very parasitic and live off social welfare.

But the Hamas attacks on 10/7 really changed things. It's like 9/11. We spent 20 years in Afghanistan and Iraq. Hundreds of thousands of people died.

Was that a great idea? No.

But Hamas changed things with those attacks. The invaded, were absolutely barbaric, and started a war. And wars are unpredictable and cruel. Just take a look at Ukraine. For Russia, it was supposed to be a 3 day intervention. 2 years later and more than 300,000 Russian casualties. Things don't go to plan when you start a war. As the US learned when they invaded Iraq. As Russians leaned when they invaded Ukraine. As Palestinians in Gaza are learning when they invaded Israel.

It was an incredibly stupid decision to invade Israel and do this.

So, in summary, YOU and your ilk were OK with Israel killing THOUSANDS of Palestinians BEFORE 10/7 but not OK with the a little hit and run from Hamas in retaliation for decades of Israel's oppression of Palestinians.

Joe Biden has reportedly not spoken to Benjamin Netanyahu in three weeks amid a growing split between the pair over the Israeli prime minister’s handling of the war in Gaza.

The White House is dismayed by Mr Netanyahu’s lack of vision for ending the conflict and lack of support for future Palestinian governance of the enclave, Israel’s two leading newspapers reported on Monday.

The Israeli leader has ignored repeated US calls to discuss a possible post-war settlement, including bringing in the Palestinian Authority (PA) to play a role in Gaza once it has been rid of Hamas – a move that would be unpopular domestically.

Amid the rising tension, Mr Netanyahu and Mr Biden have not held direct talks since a Dec 23 phone call that the US president reportedly ended abruptly after Mr Netanyahu refused to release withheld tax revenues to the PA, according to the Israeli media reports.

“This conversation is over,” Mr Biden was said to have told the Israeli leader before hanging up.

… But Israeli officials have largely remained unmoved by Washington’s increasing irritation, and have openly refused certain requests, including unfreezing the tax revenues that it collects for the PA but has until now held back.

…. Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s hard-right finance minister, who was behind the initial block on the transfer of the funds, doubled down on his decision following last week’s visit by Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, to Tel Aviv.

“We will continue to fight with all of our might to destroy Hamas, and we will not transfer a shekel to the PA that will go to the families of Nazis in Gaza,” he said.

So Netanyahu is not taking Biden’s calls? I guess Biden will just sit there and wait for Netanyahu to him? Maybe when the IDF runs out of bombs again? This relationship needs a hard reset. Who the f does Israel think it is?

.

Expressing support for a ceasefire and more humanitarian aid for Palestinians in Gaza is hardly calling for Jihad. It also does not make them anti semites ….

Full stop.”

Oh, because UNRWA says so? The same UNRWA who a freed hostage said had UN workers guarding hostages?

Kinda shoots a whole in the whole "Genocide Joe" claim, as if somehow Israel has ever been a US puppet doing our bidding. That's never been the case.
